Luminaires are certified by national and international laboratories according to the industry legislation. In particular, GREENLED INDUSTRY S.p.A. luminaires are certificated to operate in extreme temperature conditions (to 75°C in some environments); our lamps can save up to 60 % of energy compared to the old technologies.
The bodies of the lamps are made of extruded aluminium optimized to get an efficient thermal dissipation; to get this result, LED modules and printed circuit boards are “immersed” in a high thermally conductive epoxy resin. This process maximizes the luminous efficacy (lm/W) and lowers the operating temperature so that the electric/electronic parts and LEDs can get a longer lifetime.
The luminaires are manufactured with the use of first choice components like high efficiency lenses and the best LEDs available on the world market like CREE Inc, XM-L2 T5-260. According to the CREE specifications, the LEDs have the highest maximum drive current, the highest luminous efficiency, the lowest junction-case thermal resistance (2,5°C/W), and a performing color rendering (CRI / IRC / Ra ≥ 75).
The LEDs are compliant with the CEI EN 62471 standard, Photobiological Safety of Lamps and Lamp Systems.
LEDIL Asymmetric lenses are being used; these lenses are designed to be used with street luminaries. The asymmetrical projection of the light made by these lenses enables to avoid a tilt angle of the lighting fixture during the designing process. The lenses are manufactured in PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) and they are compliant with UL 746C (Standard for Safety of Polymeric Materials – Use in Electrical Equipment Evaluations) so that they can be used for outdoor use as they are UV light resistant and waterproof. Typical features of PMMA are: high mechanical resistance, surface hardening, abrasion resistance and high light transmission, very good resistance to atmospheric agents; this ensures that the lenses are highly performing (efficiency > 92%) and have a long-lasting lifetime.
The power supply unit has been designed exclusively to supply LED – both indoor and outdoor use. As the power supply unit is designed in Class II, a safety connection to electrical ground is not required. The power supplies are designed to get a lifetime longer than 150,000 hours and have the following features:
The manufacturing of the double layer PCS has been done with care (SMD components on a side and traditional ones on the other) in order to minimize the production costs and to resist to electrostatic discharges in atmosphere.
The power supply appliances are equipped with two independent circuit brakers that ensure protection from damages caused by short circuit and overload; these devices avoid damages and make the appliance work again when the technical faults are being removed.
